FOR THE BODY OF CHRIST AT LARGE!

This morning after prayer my mom was talking about how we as believers tend to keep our eyes fixed on our/others short comings. Its good to acknowlege that we do sin (thats humility). But why countinue to point out the same things in others? Its time to break free from a sin conscience mindset.

As I was reading in the book of Daniel today it dawned on me. When God delievered Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego from the furnace. Or when He delievered Daniel from the lions den. I notice how it wasnt anything they did to get out of these situations but they simply trusted in Gods goodness to deliver them. After speaking with a few people today about church, I realized the main reason why they dont attend is because Gods goodness has not been revealed to them. But if we (believers) keep our eyes fixed on sin what makes you thing that people are going to come into the true knowlege of Christ if His goodness is missing out of the picture.

Prime example: Daniel 6, the way that the administrators and high officers began searching for some sort of fault in the way Daniel did things. After searching for some sort of a short coming and realizing there was none it resorted in him being thrown into the lions den. But before being thrown in, notice how king Darius tried to save Daniel, but when it didnt work he had no choice. So he told Daniel before he had him thrown in, "May your God, whom you serve so faithfully, rescue you." This tells us that even doe king Darius wasnt a believer he had some revelation of Gods goodness.

Lets no longer be bound to pointing things out in others. THATS THE ACCUSERS JOB!!!!!!!!! But lets rest in Gods goodness and allow His love to help us to turn from sin in our lives.
